You Ran A Stop Sign… Part 2

With the start of school now the kids on Bikes are out. Just yesterday I saw a Dad leading his child on his bike as well and they both ran the stop sign, at a busy intersection at that because the school is down the street. I don't know it's one thing for adults to do it, because they're adults, but to teach your child to do it? Highly unacceptable. Then down the street another person did something similar but this time at an actual stop light. I think with school back in we'll see an increase in incidents.

I also want to say hi to those over at the Mountain Bike Product Reviews forum. Apparently one of their members stumbled upon my entry, I'm assuming from a google search and posted over on their general forum. Most people either agreed or disagreed respectfully. One though felt the need to be down right vicious.

Typically I don't do this but I felt the need to address his erroneous post.

nomit posted:

i roll stop signs all the time, if you don't....you're either 1 in a million, or you're lying. i'm the one with the most to lose in those situations, and the one that's most alert (nothing obstructing my view, no kids in the backseat to create distractions, no music to drown out the sound of an engine/horn). so as an individual i don't think its my right...but i think its my choice.

i also roll them in my car. and i jay walk when its convenient.

that first blog is from an unemployed mother of a 3 year old who's marriage is in shambles and she feels the need to vent on something thats totally out of her control.http://www.becauseishouldcare.com/20...e-right-thing/

probably speeds regularly, rolls 15 stop signs a day, accidentally runs into cars/poles/flowers in parking lots, and has at least 1 accident on her driving record.

I'm unemployed because I'm a STAY AT HOME MOM! I know some people look down on that and so be it. But I'm actually raising my child.

My marriage is in shambles, not of my choosing and I know I haven't blogged about what's really behind what happened, at least I don't think so, because I feel his work doesn't need to know about it and they might stumble across my blog, so I haven't brought the root cause up much if at all.

I don't speed, mainly because I do have a child in my car. It's actually one of the things that makes my family mad when driving them. But I don't see the point of going fast, putting others in danger and potentially getting a ticket.

I don't roll stop signs because of stupid people on bikes. LOL!

I don't run into cars/poles/flowers and have never been in an accident nor have I ever received a ticket. I know, hard to believe. I plan to keep it that way too.

But thank so much for reading my blog! It shows you something, when someone knows they're in the wrong, that they're breaking the law, in order to somehow justify it, they go on the attack. Dude, you break the law and think you should get away with it, you're the reason cyclists get no respect from those on the rode.

The hilarity continues…

So you may remember this post about a crazy woman who went off on someone because of her supposed Anti-American posts. We were talking about this person on a message board, that's how I found out about it because I don't follow the knitting circle or anything. I put this crazies blog on my RSS feed and let me say, she's crazy everyday and admits freely to having a mental illness so it's not surprising to see what she writes.

I love the internet…

The wealth of hilarity on the Internet. Knitters. KNITTERS of all people having blog wars. Yarn Harlot has someone who apparently take patriotism to the extreme. I've never read Yarn Harlot, why would I, I don't knit. But it's making it's rounds on the Internet. I'm guessing from what little research I've done, that Yarn Harlot's home is not in fact America but rather she is Canadian and just happens to live in the United States.

Some woman, which I will not name, but managed to track down, apparently believes that if you live in this nation you must at all times proclaim that it's the best in the world. I've never been of the belief that we should see ourselves as the best nation out there, I think it's highly arrogant to say we are. We have our faults and could stand to make some changes for sure. But that's Anti-America, according to this person and some of my own family as well. Oh well, so sad.

Anyhow this woman who got offended about someone proclaiming Canada as a great country, better than America, a valid opinion even if you disagree, has decided to go to the extreme and leave some of the most vile and nasty comments and email to Yarn Harlot. I just don't get that extreme patriotism. It's the worst of America honestly to be so hateful of those who don't happen to think we're the best. But hey what can you do.

One of the more hilarious things that I saw in all of this is that Miss Extreme Patriot believes that if you meet someone and have a few minute conversation that makes you good friends with them. LOL! Reality that is not.

Anyhow, God Bless the Internet and the wealth of entertainment you give me because frankly everyone can use a good laugh now and then. I do realize that for Yarn Harlot this is quite annoying and probably down right scary, but I think sometimes you have to look at the hilarity of the situation.

I’m rolling on the floor laughing…

Today I received proof that some doctors are morons. I don't mean to be harsh but seriously? And these are none of my doctors in real life because I'd never see someone this damn stupid. I mean it's so stupid I wouldn't even know where to begin to write about it. LOL! If 99% of people lets say, drive a car safely and don't die, but 1% don't and get injured or die, does that mean we should ban all cars? Apparently some people think that way, and who knew some doctors think this way too. Logic this is not.

I shouldn’t laugh…

But seriously this car chase that just happened was hilarious. I came in near the end because I hadn't had the TV on. A woman stole a Uhaul and was driving. You can see my tweets on the chase:

carchase

The woman got out and ran of all things. Freaking ran! Stupid woman. Probably was high.

Oh good our stimilus package was approved. Not sure if it will work but we'll see.

Jon Stewart and The Daily Show

Jon Stewart reacting to a George W. Bush clip ...
Image via Wikipedia

This guy is hilarious I tell you what. The "What the F*ck" look Jon Stewart gives is priceless. If you want to laugh for a half hour, The Daily Show is one to watch. Of course if you're a conservative, then you don't want to watch it. Jon tells it like it is though and that's very funny.
