Disneyland in the New Year

Yesterday we headed to Disneyland. We got up at the butt crack of dawn so we could be there right as the gates opened. Managed to get on six major rides before 9am which is great. We were done with our day by 5pm really. I wanted to take Kaylee to see the Princess’ and also the Fairies. So we did do that. Also we got to see the Holiday Parade and also the firework show later in the night. We left at 10:30pm. I’m not sure what we filled the hours between 5pm and 9:30pm when the fireworks were, mainly looking at stores, and sitting around. I did manage to get Kaylee onto one more ride before the fireworks so.

I looked through the photos and found two of my favorites.

The first is when Kaylee met Ariel. She was so excited. I mean beyond excited. Ran up to her and hugged her and just was really into her. She couldn’t care less about Cinderella or Prince Phillip (and yes this peeved me, I took her to see the Princess’ not a Prince). I was a bit surprised though at her reaction to Ariel. She wanted to see Belle, perhaps she didn’t realize Ariel was an option?

Then I went ahead and played with the color a bit because I was experimenting with Acorn today. I want to try to get my pictures to look better, a lot of it has to do with good photo editing skills.

Last but not least is when we went on the Tea Cups. Patti and I manage to get the cup going pretty damn fast. We love it. Kaylee decided she was having tons of fun. Usually she has this look of horror on her face when we do this. Not yesterday. She loved it. (I played with the color on this one as well, it wasn’t looking good in normal color.)
