I need a vacation!

Luckily, in two weeks, I’ll get one. I’m just worn out. Too much crap going on, and things dragging me down. I’m going to take that week to do all sorts of cool things with the girls. And quilt. LOL! Annabelle is doing great in softball. We’re going to a UCLA softball game this weekend. I’m going to try to get her to the local games here in town for…

When I Grow Up by Annabelle

Annabelle has been listing all the things she’s going to do when she gets older. She has quite a list. First though I want to talk about how well she’s doing in softball. She’s matured a lot and is listening well, throwing great, catching the ball, and batting like a pro. I’m putting her in lessons because she wants to be a catcher, so we’ll be working on that until…

On a quilting roll…

In the first three months of the year I’ve completed two quilts, one wall hanging and one quilt top. I’ve also started on another quilt that I should finish the top for pretty soon as well (maybe this weekend if I sit down and do it). I’ve been on a quilting roll. It’s good though because I’ve been having severe anxiety to the point where it started to effect my…

Send me a song

Title only because I couldn’t think of anything to put as the title. I really have to keep up with this blog. Maybe now that Person of Interest is picking up again I’ll post some more. Anyone watch The Leftovers? To say I’m confused would be a understatement. I don’t get it. I am pretty confident that’s what they want for the viewer, to be completely confused so much so…

Christmas Photos

I took the girls to get their Christmas photos done this last weekend. They were mostly good mainly because the kids are photogenic but the photographer was not very good at what she does. But you get what you pay for. Click here to see the album. Also Kaylee went in for her biannual check up. A1C is 4.8. Her height and weight are still in the 90%. Saw that…

Update on the school front…

We had teacher conferences last week and Kaylee is doing well. Straight A’s (or E’s) in every subject. With that though comes the concern of a speech issue (which is interesting seeing as the child never stops talking) as well as some fine motorskills issues. We’ve known about some of the fine motorskill issues for a little while and I was waiting to see if they would sort themselves out…

Will it last…

Everyday during the week the girls ask me if they can sleep together in Kaylee’s bed. I don’t allow it during the school week because sometimes the bed sharing results in not going to bed until 9 or even 10. So school nights they have to sleep in their own beds. But Friday and Saturday they’re free to share a bed. It’s interesting to me honestly. I don’t remember enjoying…

Little Miss Dancer

Annabelle started her dancing this weekend and she had tons of fun. She likes to watch and then do. I think she’ll catch on quickly. She said she really liked it. If anything she likes twirling. I didn’t take the camera with me mainly because I knew it would be impossible to get photos through the window. But I took some photos before we went.

I suppose I should write something…

I’m almost done with my first square for quilting so I’ll be posting on that soon. I’ll probably finish that tomorrow. I’ll have pictures and everything. Life has continued on just as always. Not giving me a break. I routinely ask why I’ve been saddled with all the hardship and the stress when I did nothing wrong. I guess what is the worst of all of what is happening is…

My poor blog…

It’s so neglected. So Kaylee is losing another tooth. Thank God though two are coming in so her mouth won’t look so empty. Actually her losing the tooth she’s currently losing probably means her front tooth will also be coming in soon. Annabelle also is getting some molars! Oh what joyous fun that has been. Poor kid. One big cranky puss. Mommy alas is not losing or gaining any teeth….

About Me

Hello! My name is Pamala!

I am a divorced, single mother of two beautiful girls, Kaylee and Annabelle.

I blog to write out my thoughts and opinions on my own life and issues that interest me. I do not write to please anyone and don't censor for the sake of others.

What you read here is me, no lies, no exaggerations. If you don't like it, simply don't read it.

Kaylee

Kaylee is my oldest daughter and she's 10 years old.

Kaylee enjoys drawing, playing, reading, watching movies, and playing with her sister, Annabelle.

Kaylee currently is in 5th grade. She also enjoys reading, writing, computers, Minecraft and plays the Sax and Volleyball.

Kaylee has a disorder called Hyperinsulinism. She takes medication to maintain her blood sugar but other than that she's perfect in every way.

Annabelle

Annabelle is the youngest and most wild of the family! She is 6 years old!

Annabelle loves her sister Kaylee more than anyone in the world. She enjoys running after her sister, playing with toys, and yelling at family!

Annabelle is in 1st grade and kicking butt in school. She plays Softball and Soccer in her free time. She says when she grows up she wants to coach Softball, be a police artist, a chef, and a teacher. She has goals.

Annabelle has Hyperinsulinism but requires no meds to remain within a healthy range (just like Mommy). She just requires us to pay attention to when she's sick or growing to make sure she's fine.
