Ramblings of a Stay at Home Mom!

I made someone mad…

And it’s funny.

See her story about her horrible day involved her and her mother stealing gas from a gas station and 3 police cruisers showing up to make them go back and pay. Now 3 police cruisers for stealing gas to me is not all that bad, heck it probably would have been five here. And they were in fact stealing even if it was by accident so the police response was warranted.

She automatically went racist! I mean cause all cops are racist after all! Especially in her area. Apparently in Ohio of all freaking places, people don’t like Mexicans. Well honey you don’t know what not liking Mexicans is until you live in California/Arizona/Texas. Not freaking Ohio. And to assume that all cops are racist because a few may or may not have been racist in the past in your area is just irresponsible and rude in general. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be a cop sometimes with the way people like to generalize an entire police force based on maybe one or two officer actions.

It’s attitudes like hers though that bother me. That automatically go towards racism rather than the more plausible explanation, you stole gas from a gas station! Last time I checked stealing gas was wrong, and if the police want to send out 3 cruisers rather than just one, more power to them. Of course arm chair cops think they know better than those who actually do it for a living.

Anyhow my comment went like this, “In my town they would have sent six no matter the race of the person. Perhaps it’s just a slow area. I wouldn’t assume racism.” That’s it. And her comments are on moderation, like mine, probably for the same reason, although after her response it’s probably not for the same reason, but mine are on moderation due to the insane amount of spam I get. I think her’s are on moderation because three sentences, that don’t say anything other than maybe there’s a alternative explanation to the situation, got her so mad that she had to make a whole drama filled post, talk about not posting anymore, and gather up sympathy from her supporters. I didn’t call her names, the damn comment wasn’t even posted so it’s not like anyone could agree with me and certainly no one but herself saw it. But she decides because I offer a possible alternative to the situation that doesn’t fit into her world view, that she can go on her own blog and basically bash the hell out of me, and I can’t respond, except of course to write here on my blog. You bet your ass she’ll see it as well, I’m sure she’s watching.

Thing is she writes this, “if you don’t like it don’t read it” crap. No where in my comment did I say she shouldn’t be writing what she did. Then she writes, “If you’re offended too bad.” No where in my comment did I say I was offended. I mean talk about a projection of emotions into three sentences. She can write whatever the hell she pleases. But to expect that no one will ever have a contradictory opinion, that’s just plain stupid. I know people won’t agree with me. I know a lot of people don’t agree with me. I have no problem having people express those opinions as well. I mean seriously isn’t that what is great about life in general? But apparently she’s of the belief that the only thing that should go on her blog are rainbows and kisses and agreements with her opinion. Sometimes I do have to wonder why some people blog when they’re so sensitive to opposing opinions. And the logic leaps they make based on three sentences.

Then someone in the comments made me just laugh out loud. Apparently because this woman has had one hell of a time trying to conceive a child, she has the right to be drama filled, rude, and disrespectful to commenter’s on her blog. That’s one to write down for the future. I’ve been learning all these rules about when you can allow bad behavior to pass and when you can’t.

That’s my interesting thing for today.
