Ramblings of a Stay at Home Mom!

Well we did it…

photos-dsc_0045We went to Disneyland yesterday. We got there around 11am and didn’t get into the actual park until 12pm because we had to park, walk from the parking lot and then get tickets. So the first thing we did was hit the food area and bought lunch. Just a hot dog for everyone, nothing special.

Then we decided to hit Small World because it was literally walk on. Kaylee loved it. She liked the music and the whole thing. She was a fan of boats in general.

Then we hit Roger Rabbits Wild Car Ride. She kind of was a bit shocked by that one. But soon she got over it and had fun.

After Roger Rabbit we went over to meet Mickey Mouse who has a house. She seemed to love it. I do have to make one complaint in regards to irresponsible parents. Now Disneyland is not a park to let your 10 and 7 year old run free in. Mainly because they have no concept of waiting. These two boys cut in line, not one or two people but literally pushed people out of the way to get to the front. Then when we finally got in to see Mickey they tried to cut in front of several little kids. Finally one of the people who works for Mickey asked who she thought their Grandparents were to control them and they were like, “We don’t know who they are.” The people asked where the kids parents were and they said outside at another ride, I’m assuming they had a younger kid who was going on a ride the older ones didn’t want to go on. They ran off after getting their picture. But frankly that was annoying. We got our picture with Mickey and we were going to get one with Minnie but her house was packed so we waved as she went by.

Then we saw Goofy and got a picture with him. Once again kids without any understanding of lines and waiting your turn were around. Frankly people, control your damn kids. Kaylee waited patiently for her turn to see Goofy and got this great picture.

Then we headed over to the Princess Beauty Salon and Kaylee got a princess dress and her hair done. She let me do her hair that way too today.

Then I think we hit Pinocchio’s ride as well. Nothing exciting there although I have to say some of it can be pretty scary for the little ones.

Then we hit up the Tea Cups. Kaylee loved it.

Then we headed over to The Pirates ride. Kaylee seemed to love that ride. She liked the drops. I think some of the darkness scared her but she enjoyed it and talked about going on it a lot with people, it’s the tunnel ride.

Then it was dinner time and we had some really nasty food. LOL!

After dinner we went to the Haunted Mansion and that kind of freaked her out more so because of irresponsible teenagers screaming bloody murder during the elevator ride. But she quickly got over it and had fun at the ride.

Then we went on Winnie The Pooh and his ride and that was fun. It was cute and good for the kiddo’s.

Then we hit the Train to take it over to the Submarine ride. On the way we stopped to see the Princess’ but they closed at 6 and it was 6:15. Damn them!

Then we waited for 45 minutes for the Submarine ride just to have it break down right as we were going to get on. So Kaylee and I headed over to see the Parade.

She sat on my shoulders to watch the parade and yelled at the characters. Things like, “Hey Pooh Bear over here. Tigger come here! Goofy!!! Pluto!!! Hey come here.” And a lot of screaming and clapping for joy ensued as well. And beating on Mommy’s head as well. We danced and clapped along as well.

Then after the parade we went on the Tom Sawyer’s Ferry while waiting for Patti to get off Space Mountain. Kaylee said that was her favorite ride of them all.

Then it was time to head out. We got a balloon and looked for the funnel cake but couldn’t find any. Then we went to the kick ass Disney store in Downtown Disney and I got Kaylee a doll and bought some figures for her birthday cake. Then we headed home.

So that was Kaylee’s first trip to Disneyland. She loved it. Here are the pictures.
